Swirly Nail Art with Zoya's Summer 2014 Magical PixieDust

 press sample
It's hump day! I'm getting a little nervous. I leave on Friday for Beverly Hills. If you're out that way, please meet me at Rite Aid on Saturday, 21 June from 10am-2pm (details here). I'll be doing free nail art so come out for a mani! JulieG and RissRose2 will be there too!

Today I have a look using the awesome summer 2014 additions to Zoya's Magical PixieDust line. These super-textured, majorly sparkly, glitter-holo polishes are one-of-a-kind. I've loved every single one released thus far.

Zoya Summer 2014 Magical Pixies Nail Art

For this nail art, I used all three polishes. Zoya describes Bar as a "nude topaz". I might even be able to get away with this at work (as long as I avoid the light of the projector during presentations since it's soooo glittery!). Ginni is a pink tourmaline and Arlo is an amethyst purple. [zoya bottle images below]

I used a nail art brush to freehand the design. I worked each color from start to finish - meaning that I did all necessary coats before moving on to the next shade. This way I built up a "wall" of polish that prevented me from overlapping colors...which resulted in a clearer line between polish. I started with Bar and used three coats per color. No topcoat, of course.

The Magical PixieDust polishes are surprisingly easy to work with and give such a blingy, encrusted look. Arlo and Ginni look close in color in my pics, but when used on the full nail, they're definitely different enough to own both. I've always been a big fan of Zoya and this trio is no exception.

The Zoya Magical PixieDust Collection for Summer 2014 is available now. Each polish retails for $10.00 each (US) and can be purchased at Zoya.com, select stores and spas and in ULTA beauty stores (not online). Zoya offers frequent promotions, so be sure to follow their Facebook and Instagram to get the scoop!
