A Bubbly Gradient with the Zoya Bubbly Collection

 press sample
Hi all! I haven't had the chance to blog much this week. Lots going on! I have three more articles coming up in future issues of NAILPRO magazine (I'm working on the third now...hence the busy-ness. This magazine writing thing still seems a bit surreal - I'm very lucky for sure.) I also have two cool events on the horizon...first an appearance at Rite Aid Beverly Hills in June for Jesse's Girl (shhhh...with JulieG...gah...more details to follow) and then I'll be covering Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas in July. Crazy.

Today's mani is a simple, summery gradient using the entire Zoya Bubbly Collection. These six rainbow-hued, jelly-ish shades are packed with holographic glitters. Each can be used as a glittery topper or built to opaque in two to three coats. My daughter called them "unicorn-land in a bottle". She's right! The effect is stunning and I'm a little obsessed with this mani.

Zoya Bubbly Collection Gradient

This is a continuous gradient from thumb to pinky. First I plotted my placement (two polishes per nail), then I polished each nail with the lighter of the two shades. I filled in using a makeup sponge. There really wasn't a method to my madness - I just sort of dabbed around until I was happy with the result. They blended quite easily, actually. I topcoated the final result with three coats of Zoya Armor topcoat to make everything smooth. I waited until the next day to take these pics...that way I could scrub the sparklies off my  cuticles. I added one last topcoat.

Zoya Bubbly Collection Gradient

This is a fun collection and a great pairing with the Zoya summer cremes (Tickled Collection swatches coming soon). Harper and Binx (both on my pinky) are very similar, so no need to purchase both. But all shades are really beautiful. I've always loved Zoya's traditional woman's names for their polishes and held out hope that one day there would be a Leslie. LOL. But they seem to be getting away from that...as long as the polish continues to be excellent, I won't complain. :)

The Zoya Bubbly Collection retails for $9.00 each (US). They’re available at Zoya.com, select stores and spas and in ULTA beauty stores (not online). Zoya offers frequent promotions, so be sure to follow their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to get the scoop!
