I polished three nails with Teal Me Something New, a pretty teal creme. Then I used Oh That's Just Grape, a cool, medium purple creme, on the remaining nails. On the teal nails, I painted a criss-cross striped pattern using Emerald Empowered. It's a beautiful shade of deep, glowy-metallic teal green and it complements the creme base perfectly. On the purple nails, I dabbed the multi-colored, holo, diamond-shaped glitter topcoat, Be Awesome, onto a plate. I picked up one diamond glitter at a time with a small brush and placed them on the nail until it was filled. I wasn't going for perfection...I just tried to line them up in an orderly way and ensured nothing overlapped. I had to use nippers to cut a few for the top. This was hilarious to watch! But finally I got a few the right size and could scoot them onto the nail so they lined up perfectly with the edge.
The entire mani was topped with two coats of top coat for a smooth finish over the glitters. There's some bubbling on the blingy nails, but it's not noticeable really. I LOVE how all these colors go together and I love the end result! There are five other colors in the NOPI new releases that I have my eye on to make a soft, spring gradient nail art look...so look out for that in a later post.
