Blogging for a Cause: Chelsea King for Polished Girlz

Here we are! It's my last guest poster. I sound like a broken record, but I truly have been amazed and touched by the nail artists who so graciously contributed to this series. I know many of them are busy, busy...which makes it all the more special. One special blogger who was so down to Earth and enthusiastic about it was THE Chelsea King. Chelsea's blog, Chelsea Queen, is such a resource for me! She's like nail art royalty! As a matter of fact, as this post goes live, she's hard at work judging the finalists in the China Glaze Live in Colour Contest! Thank you so much, Chelsea, for being a part of this!
I've donated $10 to the Polished Girlz on Chelsea's behalf, bringing my grand total donated to $250!! They soooo deserve it! If this is the first post you've read in the WPP "Blogging for a Cause" Guest Post Series...pop over to the intro post here to see what an amazing organization each of these bloggers are supporting with their participation. Later today I'll be posting my own nail art contribution and providing a wrap up of all the amazing things this series was able to accomplish for the Polished Girlz!

Chelsea from Chelsea Queen

Hello work/play/polish readers! I'm so honored to be guest posting today, and am thrilled to be a part of this series supporting Polished Girlz. Today I have an easy wreath design with step-by-steps. The "border nail" trend has been extremely popular, so i wanted to switch it up by having a dotted wreath as the border! Enjoy!

For this design, I started off with a base coat and 2 coats of OPI Glints of Glinda. Using a sheer nude base provides the perfect background for these wreaths, but feel free to switch it up with any fun color!

Using a dotting tool, randomly dot different sizes around the border of the nail. I used OFAT Turbulance.

Continue filling in the spaces with other shades of green. I chose a darker green, Julep Emilie, and a lighter green, Essie The More the Merrier, to fill in the spots!

Add in a bow! I used a nail art brush and OFAT Rouge Noelle. Let it dry for a few minutes and then add your favorite top coat!

Thanks for reading!
