Blogging for a Cause: Sassy Shelly for Polished Girlz

I haven't known Shelly from Sassy Shelly for long...but I do know her story is quite inspirational (check out her "About" page to learn more). She's also a very talented swatcher and nail artist and it's been fun to see her creations since she joined the Digit-al Dozen. Shelly willingly accepted my invitation to help me support the Polished Girlz. Thank you, Shelly, for being willing to share your story...and your talent!

Shelly's post brings the total I'll be donating to the Polished Girlz to $150!! If this is the first post you've read in the WPP "Blogging for a Cause" Guest Post Series...pop over to the intro post here to see what an amazing organization each of these bloggers are supporting with their participation.

Shelly from Sassy Shelly

Happy Holidays Nailistas! I'm so happy to be doing my very first guest post for the lovely Leslie at WPP and being for such a wonderful cause makes it that much more awesome. I attempted to do a snowglobe inspired design but I think it may have turned out looking more like just a winter wonderland.. I like it though. :)

I started with a base of OPI's  Time-less Is More, a super sheer white jelly. Then I used dotting tools and a small nail art brush to paint the snow and snowmen using a mixture of Zoya Purity and Wet n Wild Break the Ice. I made the hats and buttons with Zoya Raven and the noses with Zoya Arizona and their stick arms are Zoya Louise. For the tree I used Zoya Shawn and Hunter and topped it off with glitters from Ninja Polish No Peeking - the perfect Christmas tree polish. To give it that in a snowglobe look I covered everything with Sonnetarium Snowfall.
