Blogging for a Cause: Miss Ladyfinger for Polished Girls

Today's first blogger is a true innovator on the scene. Taryn of Miss Ladyfinger married fashion and nail art in a way that was fresh and fun. And she has the bona fides to back it up! (Did you know she interned with Oscar De la Renta, W Magazine and Marc Wallace and has a BFA in Fashion Design?) When I contacted Taryn about participating, I asked her to take a slightly different spin on her post. Instead of creating a new piece of nail art, I asked her to choose some fashions she had previously featured on her blog that she would wear to a holiday party. She sent me her four picks and has kindly allowed me to include her photos here. Thank you so much, Taryn!!

I'll be donating $10 more to the Polished Girlz for Taryn's wonderful contribution. If this is the first post you've read in the WPP "Blogging for a Cause" Guest Post Series...pop over to the intro post here to see what an amazing organization each of these bloggers are supporting with their participation.

Taryn from Miss Ladyfinger

Elie Saab (Spring 2014):  This white-based floral is holiday without being too holiday. Plus the dress great is for year-round.

J Mendel (Spring 2014): Mixing textured glitter polish is a great way to make your own sparkly creation. I love opting for sparkly whites— it really resembles the best part about the holidays… the snow!

Simple color-blocking makes a very loud statement. Picking a jeweled tone color as your base will really give it a holiday feel.

Preen (Resort 2014): There are so many great ways to use a dotter tool. Pick 3-4 of your favorite holiday colors and dot a few of each down your nail for a cool gradient effect.
