Good morning! It's Friday! Time flies by so ridiculously fast these days, doesn't it?! I think it's because I stay too busy...always something to do and somewhere to go! Okay...let's get into the post. Today I have swatches of six polishes from the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection. I got to see these beauties way back in July at Cosmoprof North America and I had to keep them a secret for what felt like an eternity (well, I did show some pics to the hubs, but he was markedly LESS excited than I was! LOL)First up is Put a Bow on It, an ultra-fine purply/fuchsia glitter. This went on really sheer in the first coat and I would have bet money you couldn't get it opaque. But the first coat seemed to "grab" the next coat and it built up nicely. I used three coats for the swatch below. I actually like how this dried without top coat...with a textured finish. My photo has a coat of Seche Vite. I love this one!
Just Be-Claws is a beautiful red foil and it really put me in the holiday spirit! At first I thought...yikes, another red! But the formula was really great and the color looked good on me. This one is a keeper! :)
So Blue Without You has an awesome foily/twinkly finish. The color is bright and icy. I didn't expect to like this one as much as I do. Application was perfect. I used two coats.
There's Snow One Like You is a truly unique textured polish. It's a bright white with, well, lumps. It's like mini-cottage cheese. I actually kinda like it. I mean, it's not often that I come across polish that's totally different than anything I've seen before...and this definitely is. I wouldn't wear it on it's own, but it would be perfect for a snow feature in some nail art. My photo washes out the texture somewhat. I used two coats (the second one required some dabbing) and no topcoat.
This is Tree-mendous is a holly green micro-glitter with the same finish as Put a Bow on It. When you look closely, it has hints of blue and silver. I'm not a green polish lover, but this is really beautiful and it applied nicely. My swatch is two coats. I believe I used two coats of top coat.
Santa Red My List has a similar finish as So Blue Without You, but in a beautiful pinkish-red. I have a few shades in my collection that are similar...but the formula on this one was really nice. This is two coats.
I didn't get a chance to road test some of the glitter toppers from this collection, but from what I tried...I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm always amazed when a brand releases a red that I love...that's no small task! Plus, I love the micro glitters. Be still my heart! :)
