Vivid Lacquer Fashionably Late Collection Swatches!

I have some fun polishes from Vivid Lacquer's Fall 2013 Fashionably Late Collection to show you today! Vivid Lacquer was the first indie that sent me samples to swatch…so I will always have room for Anni and her pretties on this blog! Plus, she makes the most amazing stamping plates. Uh. Maze. Ing. The best. I’ll cover some of her newer plates in a separate series. For now, let’s get to the polish! This is a big collection. Thirteen shades in all. Today I'll show you my six faves.

Shattered Oasis has bright blue microglitter suspended in a blue jelly. My swatch is three thin coats. I love this shade of blue! It's so clean and bright.

Welcome to Rapture is a densely packed topcoat full of fine glitters in every color. I layered one, thin coat over Zoya Hunter. Welcome to Rapture can be worn alone too. In 3-4 coats you'll have a solid glitter bomb.

Theoretically Pleased is one of the newest additions to VL's Theoretical line! This soft yellow crelly is filled with fine yellow, purple and gold glitters. It's so delicate and pretty!

Fairy Wasted is really unique. I would have never thought to put together this combo...but it works. The base is sort of a plum-brown crelly. It has a light glitter load of hot pink and periwinkle microglitters and hexes. The result is very Fall. My swatch is one thin coat for coverage and one generous coat to distribute the glitter.

I completely gasped when I pulled Make a Spot Check from the package. This polish is gorgeous! It includes four sizes of round glitters (you know how I love round glitter) in silver, blue, purple, pink, gold and green. I even found a few surprise hearts! This polish can easily be applied using the dabbing technique with minimal fishing for larger glitters. I dabbed on a coat and then placed some of the large glitters using a dotting tool. Shattered Oasis is my base.

And the final one I have to show you is beeeee-yoooo-tiful. Love the polish, hate the name. What can I say? I’m a prude when it comes to my makeup monikers. Mega Slut is a yummy pink shimmery polish with a sprinkling of raspberry holo glitters. My swatch is two coats. A shiny topcoat really brings out the sparkle.

Be sure to check out the Vivid Lacquer store to see the other beauties in the collection, including a hunter green jelly; another glitter topper...this one with teal, white, purple and silver; a soft pink shimmer; and a berry red/green duochrome crelly! All swatches are finished with G&G HK Girl topcoat.

Vivid Lacquer is BIG3 free and available in the VL Etsy store for $9 for a generous 15mL bottle. Be sure to follow Vivid Lacquer on Facebook for info on new collections and restocks!
