Happy Friday! I made it. If you read this blog regularly, then you may have noticed a slight skip in my Digit-al Dozen manis. That was completely unplanned and I'll try to make them up if I can! But for today, I'm going to rejoin the pack with my tape mani redo. Today's look is accomplished with the four polishes that comprise the new Pure Ice The Art of Nail Noir Collection. After the nail art, I'll show you swatches of each shade, then give you a chance to win them for yourself! This look was so easy. I started with two coats of Iced Merlot, then randomly placed diagonal pieces of striping tape and filled in the spaces with the remaining polishes in the collection: No Means No, All Night Long, and Not Now. I was worried the tape had dried too long by the time I got through all three colors. I figured the polish would pull from the nail. But nope. Perfect. Zero touch-up on the lines!
And now for the swatches. All are two coats of polish with one coat of G&G HK Girl topcoat. I'll start with my fave. Pure Ice describes Not Now as a Forest Green. It really leans teal to me. The finish is absolutely beautiful. Sort of like a velvet shimmer.
No Means No is a shimmery royal purple. It almost has a glow to it, which is nice. I had zero brushstroke issues.
Iced Merlot is a deep purple-red with a fine icy shimmer.
And last but not least, All Night Long is a shimmery navy blue. I can never get enough navy blue polish! Again, the shimmery finish is really nice.
Pure Ice continues to amaze me. It's definitely a great value at only $1.99 for a 15ml bottle of 3-free polish with a great formula.
