Today I have swatches of some beautiful polishes from Ninja Polish. I had the pleasure of meeting Rhonni, the creator of Ninja Polish, at the indie maker/e-tailer/blogger dinner in Las Vegas during Cosmoprof North America. (Actually, Rhonni is the one who organized the dinner. There are a few pics at the end of this post.) Rhonni was amazingly generous! She provided each blogger with a “Cosmoprof Blogger Survival Kit” full of awesome stuff. My kit included these five Ninja Polishes! But that wasn't all. The survival kits also included Rejuvacote and Seche Vite; new releases from Serum No. 5, Red Dog Designs and Dandy Nails; and lots of other goodies! Everything came in a Ninja Polish bag with a Ninja Polish keychain. I LOVED this! Thank you, Rhonni.
This is my first experience with Ninja Polish and I'm really impressed. Application was flawless on all five shades I received. Each swatch (except Chameleon) is top-coated with Glisten & Glow HK Girl (<--love this!!). I'll start with the one that really blew me away the most. Glamorous is a blurple holographic from the Spectrum Collection. It's billed as a dupe for OPI Designer Series Glamour and a lot of bloggers agree! I don't have a bottle of Glamour to compare it to, but I do know I love Glamorous. The holographic effect is even more amazing outside. I used two coats.
This is Shillelagh from the Enigma Collection (available now). This color shifting, sparkly polish goes from bright green, to olive, to gold and more. I’m not a green polish lover, but I'm really fascinated with the spectrum of colors in this shade. (My daughter absolutely loved it on me.) My swatch is 3 coats.
Amethyst Dreams is a deep purple with a slight silvery shimmer and a lot of depth. I used three coats for my swatch, but only because I was too impatient between coats and had some dragging. The coverage and formula were both really nice. Amethyst Dreams will be available soon.
And last, but not least, is Chameleon, a complex mix of ultra-fine glitter in a clear base. Chameleon will be part of the soon-to-be released Dragon Collection. This is the perfect name for this polish because there are so many colors...it changes every way you look at it! Unfortunately, my lighting setup is abysmal at capturing the effect and I swatch in the dead of night so I can't show it to you in the sunlight. You'll just have to trust me. The shade is predominantly purple, but it flashes gold, orange, yellow, green...and on and on. I used three coats for opacity and two coats of Seche Vite for smoothness.
The Ninja Polishes shown here retail for $11 for a 15ml bottle. In addition to Rhonni's own line, Ninja Polish sells over 30 different indie lines plus a variety of stamping plates. Shop her store at www.ninjapolish.com. And follow Ninja Polish on facebook, twitter, and instagram.
The shot below includes Beauty Judy, Romy Raves, I Love Nail Polish, Sealore Polish, Girly Bits, and KB Shimmer.
Here's the big group shot. I posted it on Instagram but it was itty bitty! I didn't get this pic with my camera, so this photo is courtesy of Mimi at Makeup Withdrawal. [click to enlarge]
