It's Friday! If you're in the US, I hope you enjoyed the holiday! Today I have swatches of the six bright shades (683-688) in the 2013 INGLOT O2M Summer Collection. I've been dying to try the INGLOT brand. They have a few different lines of polish. The O2M line is special because it's made of a polymer similar to what's used for "breathable" contact lenses. This allows oxygen and water to pass through the polish to the surface of the nail. The shades I'm showing you today are beautiful and perfect for summer!
The formula for all had a thinner consistency, but was easy to control and opaque in two coats. I experienced some dragging at the cuticle a few times, but it was remedied with another quick swipe over the nail with a loaded brush. (I think I was in too much of a hurry.) Unless I'm just woefully unobservant, I don't think there are mixing balls in the polish. It wasn't an issue. There wasn't any separation and the pigment was even and intense. For my swatches, I used my usual Seche Clear/Seche Vite combination. To maintain the breathable quality of the polish, be sure to use INGLOT's O2M base and top coats.
INGLOT 685 is the pinkest of the three pinks, leaning a little purple. I love this one! (I say that about every medium pink, don't I?)
INGLOT 686 is a medium purple, almost like a dark lilac (if there is such a thing). I normally save my biggest swoon for a pink, but this one is my fave.
INGLOT 687 is a beautiful, bright teal. You saw this one, along with 685, in my RABEANCO Alex handbag inspired mani.
And last, but certainly not least, is INGLOT 688. I tried to color correct as best I could, but in real life, 688 is a deeper green. Not by much. Think of it as the fraternal green twin of 687.
Overall, I'm really pleased and excited about the brand. I'm in love with these six colors...separately...and together. Too bad I don't have a sixth finger on one hand so I could wear them all at once! Unfortunately, I didn't get to wear any of these for long (I was on to the next mani!) so I can't say whether or not the O2M formula impacts wear time.
