Happy Fourth of July (a little early)

 press sample
I'm short on time because I'm prepping for tomorrow's festivities...so I thought I'd just give you a quick look at the Independence Day mani I'll be rocking. Isn't it fun?

Sparkly Tipped Fourth of July Mani

I had so much trouble capturing how sparkly this mani is! It looks better outside than it did in my inside shots...but still I was left to take pics under a semi-cloudy sky. :(

I love the blingy tips against the plain nude base. It makes the tips seem even more blingy. I used one coat of OPI Second Honeymoon and one coat of China Glaze Love Letters for the base (since my nails are a little stained...eeeck). If your nails are pristine, you could skip that step all together. The silver tips are BA Star loose glitter in holo (review here). And the flag nail is China Glaze Ruby Slippers and Dorothy Who! with white acrylic paint stripes and a dab of glitter. Everything is sealed in with three (!!!) coats of Seche Vite to make it smooth. I can't take complete credit for the idea. I've seen a sparkly and flag tipped mani before done with glitter suspended in acrylic tips (but no source!).

If you're in the US, I hope you have a safe and fun holiday. I'll be grilling hot dogs and catching fireworks.
