Butter London Colour Clash Swatches and Review

 press sample
I know I've been snowing you with Cosmoprof North America news, so I decided to give you a breather and switch to some regularly scheduled programming! I do hope you like the news. I find the whole forecasting and strategy part of the nail industry fascinating. In my day job, I follow the defense industry, and I gotta tell you, nail polish is way more fun!  So today I have two swatches from the butter LONDON Fall Colour Clash Collection. I was really excited when I first heard about it. It's a fun and unexpected group of bright colors for the Fall season.

Wellies is described as a grassy green. It's really a bright chartreuse (and much greener than my pic shows when it's out of direct lighting). I thought it would be a two-coater with a slightly matte finish (because it seemed to lean neon). In reality, I needed three coats for even coverage, but the result was really intense and smooth. It dried to a shiny finish on it's own, but I added a single coat of Seche Vite.

I thought the yellow, Pimms, would need three coats (yellows can be finicky) and finish shiny and really bright. But it actually went on in two easy coats (surprisingly smooth for a yellow) and it dried semi-matte (boy, could I have been more wrong with my predictions today?). It's not as clean of a yellow as I thought it would be. To me, it has a just touch of mustard to it which brings down the brightness. I used one coat of Seche Vite.

I like both of these shades. The formula was classic butter LONDON. I didn't get to wear test them, but BLs always perform well for me. Now I'm even more interested in the other colors in the collection, Cake-Hole (neon pink creme), Cotton Buds (pure white creme), Giddy Kipper (medium blue shimmer) and Silly Billy (opaque orange).

Do you have these polishes? Did you have the same experience with application?
