Vivid Lacquer Theoretically Spring Collection

 press sample
Wow. This is my second post in a single day! I think that’s happened only once in the history of this blog. But today was important – I wanted to get you swatches of the new Vivid Lacquer Theoretically Spring Collection before they go on sale this week. I’m really digging these delicate pastel milky-based glitters lately, so I was excited to see this collection. You can probably get these opaque in 3-4 coats, but I’ve shown each swatch over a coordinating base. These are my fave VL's ever!

First up is Theoretical Blogger. It’s a creamy lavender base with darker purple and lavender multi-sized glitter. I’ve used two coats of Theoretical Blogger over two coats of Zoya Julie. So pretty!

Theoretical Gamer is a soft sky blue base with white, blue and teal glitters. It also has just a touch of teeny bar glitter. I’m not usually a fan of bar glitter, but this is so subtle. It's an interesting touch (and not hairy looking like I usually equate with bar glitter.) My swatch is two coats of Theoretical Gamer over two coats of Zoya Blu. Again, very pretty!

Theoretical Girlfriend (I love the name of this one) is a super soft pink base with white, dark pink and light pink glitters. My swatch is two coats of Theoretical Girlfriend over two coats of Zoya Gei Gei. You can get a sense for how buildable these polishes are because Gei Gei is a more saturated pink and yet Theoretical Girlfriend really lightens it up. Yup...I'll say it again...so pretty!

And finally, we have Theoretical Vegan, a super light minty green with light and dark green glitters. I've used two coats of Theoretical Vegan over two coats of Zoya Neely. They are a perfect match. This is a beautiful combo and a great option for St. Patrick's Day if you're not a green polish person like me!

I know I keep saying "pretty" over and over again...but these really are such sweet polishes. Application for each was very smooth and easy. All of them dried with an interesting semi-matte sheen.  I finished all swatches with a coat of Seche Vite. And don't forget the original Theoretical...Theoretical Rockstar.

Vivid Lacquer is BIG3 free and available in the VL Etsy store for $9 (full size) or $4.50(mini). Be sure to follow Vivid Lacquer on Facebook for info on new collections and restocks!
