The uniform collars made me think of a half moon mani so I ran with it. I have LOTS of polish. LOTS. I even have polishes that are almost the perfect 1966 shades depicted here. But they're not all creams and I couldn't have Captain Kirk wearing a shimmery spandex shirt. Speaking of Kirk, he's not quite as buff in the midsection as I remember. But I digress. [image source]
The "collars" are Essie Licorice and the Star Trek logo is Gold acrylic paint. Here are the polishes I used for the shirts. I sort of made it up as I went along:
- Kirk Yellow: OPI The "It" Color, Pure Ice The Secret is Out & a smidge of Zoya Kelly
- Spock Blue: China Glaze First Mate and Zoya Purity
- Ohura Red: one coat of Zoya America and one coat of Zoya Kristi
Don't ask me why I remember this exactly...but I have a distinct memory of being four years old and coming home from church on a Sunday and eating Kentucky Fried Chicken while watching my first Star Trek rerun. It must have made quite the impression on me!
