Houndstooth Stamped Mani with Zoya Farah, Carmen and Raven

More stamping today! Am I getting brave or what? I'm just so excited about these VividLacquer plates. Today I used the houndstooth pattern from VL005 (here's a link to the plate in the VL Etsy Store). This look is entirely Zoya. The base is Farah, the red is Carmen and the black is Raven.

The stamping would have been more opaque had I used a stamping or one-coat polish. But I kinda like the gradient effect (look closely in the big pics and you can see places in the pattern that are slightly shaded) . These pics are sans topcoat. I tried Seche Vite and didn't like the pictures as much. There was too much glare to really see the pattern.

I feel so liberated since I admitted to the world my nail stamping anxiety! :) Having plates with large images has made a huge difference too.  So what do you think?

  1. This is fantastic!! I too suffer from NSA (nail stamping anxiety) and have only braved the flow-y, floral-y, organic type designs because I still have alignment issues. Geometric designs like this seem to hi-lite crooked stamping so I'm still afraid of them! You stamped yours perfectly! :)
