All in the Family (and Shimmer Polish Preview)

 press sample
My family are my biggest blog stalkers...er...I mean, fans. They come to my house and act all aghast at my growing polish collection and Mani Cave...and yet those same people enable me by buying me polish! Repeatedly. Oh, I'm not complaining. I love surprise polish. And it really does make my day when my nieces, cousins, sisters, girlfriends that might as well be sisters, etc., take pictures of their nails and text them to me. To pay homage, today's mani is brought to you by random gifts of polish (RGOP) from people who are related to me.

First up in Sinful Colors Let's Talk. It arrived at my home unsolicited via my cousin (once or twice removed) who is also the President and sole member of my South Florida Fan Club (she is actively recruiting). This polish is pretty amazing. I have a daylight lamp at my desk and I put Let's Talk on believing it was royal blue. Like REALLY royal blue. But out of any bright light, it's royal purple. Like VERY royal purple. I didn't get shots of it in various light because the important take-away from this polish is that my cousin thinks I'm ROYAL.

I topped Let's talk with Shimmer Leslie, a gift from my sister. Even though I'm a (secretly) licensed nail tech and (undercover) polish blogger, my sister is WAY more knowledgable in the area of indie polish. In fact, I didn't even know what a Lynnderella was until she schooled me a good  six months after the craze began. As a surprise, she ordered me this polish. I must admit, seeing my name on a bottle of polish is very exciting. Cindy, the genius behind Shimmer Polish, names all of her custom polishes after family and friends. How apropos, is it not? Leslie (the polish, not me) is a lavender and periwinkle glitter bomb. LOVE!

Next week I'll be bringing you some proper swatches of more Shimmer Polish beauties. In the meantime, you can find Shimmer Polish on facebook, shop the Etsy store or visit the site to see all that Cindy has available. Stay tuned for that.

Truly and seriously, I greatly appreciate that my family and friends are on board with this crazy hobby that has gotten a tad bit out of hand. I owe you free manis for life!
