Today I have a quick, simple mani to share. I've spent all of my free time on The Mani Cave...which is cramping my mani routine! But I'm just so excited to finally get started on it! I'll post Mani Cave updates every Wednesday, so be sure to check back then!
So back to the mani. Today I'm sporting Sally Hansen Red-y Response. I hadn't jumped on the magnetic bandwagon until I tried China Glaze Sparks Will Fly. I was mesmerized with the formula, but wasn't quite sure if it was a magnetic thing...or just really awesome polish. The only way to tell was to try a different magnetic. Alas, that brings us to today.
Red-y Response is hardly red! It goes on as a medium pink. The formula is awesome...just like the China Glaze version. The magnet is housed in the plastic cap. After two coats of polish you hover the cap (there's a lip that prevents you from smashing into your polish) over each nail for 7-10 seconds. I held mine there for 20 seconds because I'm an overachiever, I guess!
The magnet brought out a beautiful eggplant colored pattern. I have very curved nail beds so I was surprised at how well the magnet worked from side-to-side.
You know, I liked this so much before the magnet, I still might sport this color without it. But I'll admit the whole magnetic thing is pretty cool. So what's your experience? Do all magnetic polishes have this dreamy formula? Or am I just imagining things?
