Half Chevron Mani: Gold, Black and Red

Happy Friday!! I should be back to my normal posting routine. It always feels strange when I take a break from the blog...or really the computer in general! I hope all of my US readers had an amazing Thanksgiving! After I post this, I have to clean house for round two! So let's get to the mani...

Gold, Black and Red Half Chevron Nails (work / play / polish)

To get this look, I used Essy Beyond Cozy from the Leading Lady Collection as a base. I'm loving this fine, neutral gold more each time I wear it. I started with a small triangle at the tip of each nail, then painted a V-stripe pattern using Zoya Raven and a medium striper brush. (I could have said "V-stripe" in the post title, but half-chevron sounded fancier.) For a pop of color, I painted one thicker stripe of OPI Red on my ringer for an accent.

My lines aren't perfect, but I kind of like it this way. It seems more tribal or something.
