If you're waiting for No More Waity, Katie...stop. You can wait. Trust me on this one. This is my first bad experience with Butter London. I suppose you can't win them all. Maybe if my expectations weren't so high, I wouldn't be so let down. I had read the not-so-glowing reviews, but that didn't stop me. At least I bought it during Ulta's BOGO sale with a $10 off coupon. So I'm only out two bucks!
It's hard to describe. It's a milky grey/dusty purple jelly-ish base with lilac microglitter. It's goopy (technical term) and I had trouble with bald spots. There were patches with no glitter at all. I even waited until the first coat was completely dry before moving on. But there were bald spots in the second coat too (how is that possible?). I finally added a third, loose coat just to make it even. At that point it was just thick and gritty.
I finished with two coats of Seche Vite to smooth it out. It's better, but still not the showstopper I was hoping for. Such a shame. I'm curious what was said in the Butter London boardroom as the creative team tossed around color ideas. To me, it's just bizarre. Perhaps it's an acquired taste.
