Ah, the power of the internet. I'd never even heard of Barry M polish until I started trolling the nail blogs...then I had to have it. I decided I was NOT going to invest in any of the China Glaze New Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection...then I saw an awesome swatch of Deviantly Daring on a blog and bought it that very day. Finally, I would never have thought to stamp with Deviantly Daring...then I saw it on Pinterest. And well, here I am. This is Barry M Bright Purple (303) stamped in China Glaze Deviantly Daring using Bundle Monster 201. I'm so impressionable. LOL
China Glaze describes Deviantly Daring as a peacock teal. I'm not a big fan of duochromes, but the shift on this one isn't very strong. The color is super saturated so it stamped well.
This is my first Barry M. The color is pretty (I love anything berry-ish) and the brush was nice (I prefer smaller brushes). The formula was okay but not as oh-my-goodness-this-is-lifechanging-awesome like I was expecting. It seemed a little thick. Also, every other review on the planet says this color is opaque in two coats. I agreed, until I saw my pics. You can tell from the photo below that I could have used a third coat. I hate doing three coats with creme polish. It's like against my religion. It didn't matter anyway since the stamping fixed everything.
If you're reading from the U.S., enjoy your long Labor Day weekend! I'm going to stay completely away from the computer tomorrow! :)
